Joaquin Romero To Be Remembered At Vigil, Community Invited To Honor Memory Of Boxing Coach
DENVER (CBS4) - A community will gather to remember Joaquin Romero at a vigil on Saturday. The 35-year-old boxing coach was killed on Sunday morning by a hit-and-run driver.
Romero opened the Topeira Boxing Club in 2013. Many people who knew him considered the gym his second home.
The Romero family has planned a vigil at Denver's Huston Lake Park at 11 a.m. Saturday. The family has invited members of the community to meet at the corner of Clay Street and Ohio Avenue.
