I-25 Widening Project Could Begin Sooner Than Planned
DENVER (CBS4)- Work to start widening Interstate 25 from Castle Rock to Monument could get fast-tracked.
El Paso County Commissioners want voters to allow the use of tax refunds to jump start construction.
The project would use about $6 million in funds that would otherwise be returned to Colorado residents under TABOR.
If the proposal makes it on the November ballot, and voters approve it, construction on the interstate could start in Summer 2019.
