Inmate Sentenced To Additional Time For Assaulting 2 Correctional Officers
GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- An inmate from the Hudson Correctional Facility has been sentenced to additional time for assaulting two correctional officers.
Earl Pickering was convicted in June 2010 of second degree assault- bodily fluids, second degree assault and third degree assault.
Pickering, 65, assaulted two correctional officers when he struck one officer twice in the face with a closed fist and spit on another on May 31, 2010.
Pickering took his case to trial. After two hours of deliberation the jury convicted Pickering of three different assault charges.
Pickering was sentenced to an additional 12 years in prison.
