Illness At Elementary School In Erie Remains Mystery
ERIE, Colo. (CBS4)- An elementary school in Erie was closed Friday as health officials investigated what is making students and staff sick. They're also trying to stop it from spreading.
More than 90 students and five staff members at Black Rock Elementary School were absent from class Thursday. A suspected virus is believed to be what's making everyone sick.
The district officials said they closed the school Friday at the recommendation of the Colorado Department of Health. The school will be thoroughly cleaned over the weekend.
School is expected to be back in session on Monday.
