Highlands Ranch Honors Marine With Street Naming

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4) - Highlands Ranch has honored a Marine killed in action by naming a street after him.

Marine Cpl. Max William Donahue died from injuries when an explosive device went off in Afghanistan one year ago. On Friday his parents were on hand as the street sign in the Highlands Ranch Town Center was revealed Friday morning.

Donahue's mother said the support has been overwhelming.

"People have been so wonderful through this whole thing," said Julie Schrock, Donahue's mother. "I wish he was here. I wish that he knew all of the support from the people who appreciate what happened."

Donahue was a military policeman and a dog handler who received several service awards.
