Hickenlooper Talks About Trade After Trip To Asia, Middle East
DENVER (CBS4)- Gov. John Hickenlooper recently returned from a two-week trip to Asia and the Middle East where he discussed trade with other leaders from the region.
Hickenlooper was joined by 52 business and academic leaders. They spent the most time in China and Japan, Colorado's third and fourth largest export markets.
"The best part about this trip was that in a relatively small amount of time we made a lot of connections and received a tremendous amount of positive feedback. The downside is there is just a tremendous amount of work to be done," said Hickenlooper.
The delegation also visited Turkey and Israel where they met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Hickenlooper said the business and academic delegates who joined him paid their own way.
