Greeley Teen Pleads Guilty In Death Of 2-Year-Old Cousin
GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4) - A Greeley teenager has pleaded guilty in the child abuse death of his 2-year-old cousin.
Jesus Cornelio is expected to receive 18 years in prison, but under a plea deal the sentence would be suspended if he completes six years in the youth offender system.
Cornelio was 17 last March when he was accused of violently shaking his cousin. Court records indicate Cornelio got angry when the toddler tried to grab his cellphone as he was checking Facebook.
Sentencing for Cornelio is set for July.
