Greeley Caregiver Accused Of Taking Patient's Credit Cards

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - A Greeley caregiver accused of using her 101-year-old patient's credit cards to buy clothing, gas and drugs faces charges including identity theft, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.

Twenty-eight-year-old caregiver Adrienne Stagner was arrested Thursday. It wasn't clear if she had an attorney who could comment on her behalf.

The Greeley Tribune reports she is accused of stealing more than $4,000 in cash and goods by using the cards. Police started investigating after the patient's grandson discovered one of the older woman's credit cards had been used 19 times for cash advances in the past month.
