Former Littleton Officer Expected To Plead Guilty In Drug Case
LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4) - A former Littleton police officer accused of drug crimes is expected to plead guilty in a deal with federal prosecutors.
Jeffrey Johnston, a 22-year veteran of the force, was arrested last month. He faces charges of possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute and illegally possessing firearms while using drugs. Court documents indicate Johnston had an assault rifle with four high-capacity magazines and seven other guns while he was taking ecstasy.
The documents also say Johnston would forfeit his home, weapons and $2,000 in cash upon a conviction. He resigned from the Littleton force in July.
