Body Found Inside Burned Mobile Home In Thornton
THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4)- A body was found inside a mobile home in Thornton after fire gutted it Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, but only after it had destroyed the home.
The identity of the body has not been released. Police are investigating the cause of death.
Copter4 flew over the fire on Riverdale Road just after 5 p.m. Plumes of smoke could be seen from miles away.
Witnesses reported hearing minor explosions. In addition to the body found inside, two people who lived in the home were rushed to a hospital with minor injuries.
What caused the fire is unknown.
