Final Civil Defense Siren Removed From Denver

DENVER (CBS4)- The final civil defense siren has been removed from the city limits of Denver.

The tornado siren was one of many installed in Denver in the 1950s.

The city has installed a new warning system to take its place. Now that testing on the new system is complete all 53 of the civil defense sirens have been removed.

The last one was still standing at George Washington High School.
