DU Student Died While Skiing At Copper Mountain
SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A student at the University of Denver who died while skiing at Copper Mountain has been identified. The incident happened on Tuesday, Jan. 25.
Joe Lubar, 21, was skiing on Schaefer's Ski Run, a double black diamond, above tree line. He tumbled through some rocks at Copper Mountain Ski Area.
According to the Summit County Coroner, Lubar suffered traumatic brain injuries. He was rushed to St. Anthony's Summit Medical Center and then transferred to St. Anthony's Central Hospital in Denver.
He succumbed to his injuries Friday morning. Luber was from Milwaukee.
