Dreamliner Flight From Denver To Tokyo Flight Diverted
SEATTLE (CBS4) - A United Airlines flight from Denver to Japan was diverted on Tuesday afternoon after pilots apparently noticed there was a technical issue of some sort with the Dreamliner plane.
The flight landed in Seattle.
"United flight 139 from Denver to Tokyo-Narita diverted to Seattle due to an indication of a problem with an oil filter. The aircraft landed normally and we are working to reaccommodate customers," United officials wrote.
Nonstop service from Denver to Tokyo on the Dreamliner just started earlier this month.
Colorado leaders hailed the flight as one that opens new doors to trade, and one that would bring approximately 30,000 new visitors each year. They said it would create 1,500 jobs, while opening new markets.
