Watch: Denver Zoo Gives Tour During Fruit Bat Feeding
DENVER (CBS4) - A Denver Zoo keeper gave a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to feet the bats.
And it's more than you might think, actually.
"Our fruit bats consume four trays of bat mix filled to the brim, seven cups of crushed apples, 30 bananas and eight quartered melons in a single day!" the zoo posted to Facebook.
Zookeeper Troy took the point-of-view video as he entered the exhibit to feed them, which the zoo posted:
