Denver Police Officer Injured, Rushed To Hospital After Disturbance
DENVER (CBS4)- A Denver police officer was rushed to the hospital on Friday night after the Colorado Rockies home opener with injuries suffered in what's being called a "disturbance." The officer was responding to a fight and was struck in the head by a bottle.
The officer was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center to receive stitches. A full recovery is expected.
Officers were responding to a disturbance in the 1900 block of Market Street when the officer was injured.
The suspect is still on the run but is described as a Hispanic or white male, wearing a yellow or mustard-colored hoodie with a white stripe and light-colored pants.
What happened leading up to the disturbance is being investigated by police.
