Colorado's Tom Strickland Joins BP's Law Firm
DENVER (AP) - Former Colorado politician Tom Strickland has joined a law firm that is defending BP for its involvement in a major oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Strickland, who is the former chief of staff for Interior Secretary Ken Salazar and a two-time U.S. Senate candidate from Colorado, is joining the law firm WilmerHale in Washington, D.C.
Strickland tells the Denver Post that he will adhere to the Obama administration's conflict-of-interest ethics rules and that his work won't have anything to do with the firm's work with BP.
