Colorado's 'Sleeper' House Lands On Ugliest Mansion List
GENESEE, Colo. (CBS4) - A Colorado landmark has just landed on the list of America's Ugliest Mansions.
The Genesee home known fondly by many Coloradans as Sleeper House (for its appearance in Woody Allen's 1973 sci-fi comedy "Sleeper") is one of seven houses featured on the Forbes list.
The Forbes writer described the iconic home as a mansion "perfect for aliens."
The modern home, whose official name is The Sculptured House, was built in 1963 by architect Charles Deaton. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
