Colorado Woman Charged In Terror Plot To Change Plea
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- A Colorado woman charged with helping in a global terror plot has been scheduled for a change-of-plea hearing.
According to a notice filed in Philadelphia federal court Friday, Jamie Paulin-Ramirez, of Leadville, Colo., will appear in court Tuesday for a hearing to change her not-guilty plea to charges stemming from her arrest last year.
Paulin-Ramirez and a Pennsylvania woman who dubbed herself "Jihad Jane" in online postings were charged in what prosecutors was a plot to incite a holy war in Europe and South Asia. Colleen LaRose pleaded guilty February 1 to four charges, including conspiracy to murder a foreign target.
Paulin-Ramirez faces a single charge of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists. She moved to Ireland in 2009, marrying an Algerian terrorism suspect the day she arrived.
