Colorado Symphony Breaks Out The Holiday Favorites
DENVER (CBS4) - The Colorado Symphony features a wide range of music -- both sacred and secular -- during the holiday season.
This season there are three different programs being presented that lead up to the end-of-December holidays:
- Colorado Christmas, five shows on Dec. 9, 10 and 11
- Messiah by Candlelight, Dec. 13 and 14
- Too Hot To Handel, a jazz, gospel and R&B reworking of Handel's Messiah and conducted by Marin Alsop, Dec. 16 and 17
CBS4 Critic at Large Greg Moody reports that the Colorado Christmas performances are a tradition that touches the heart and helps greet the holiday season. He also the Messiah by Candlelight is a choral production "that will simply steal your breath away."
