Colorado Steppin' Out For Kids Helps Students In Need
ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - Piles of shoes, clothing and jackets are sorted and ready for delivery in Arvada.
The totes will be distributed to more than 400 children before they go back to school. It's part of the Colorado Steppin' Out for Kids annual effort. Each year the organization shops for clothing for children who otherwise might go back to school without proper-fitting shoes or a winter coat.
"In the whole tote that we give them of clothing includes a brand new pair of athletic shoes -- name brand, six pairs of socks, six pairs of underwear, jeans, shirt and sweater. All of those things and a winter coat come in those totes," Diane Degenhart with Colorado Steppin' Out for Kids said.
