Colorado Springs Police Urge Permits For Protests

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Springs police are urging Wall Street protesters to get permits that would allow them to set up tents to keep their supplies as long as they don't try to sleep in them.

Police say if the protesters do not comply or the permits are not approved, the tents will have to be taken down.

They said Monday the tents can stay until they can apply for the permits. Several people who have not complied have been given written warnings, and one person was arrested early Tuesday

Protesters at Civic Center Park in Denver slept on the sidewalk to avoid no-camping ban in parks overnight.
