2 On The Loose After Victims Are Duct-Taped During Home Invasion
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - There's a desperate search for two dangerous men believed to be behind a violent crime spree that started Thursday night in Colorado Springs.
Two male victims were left tied up with duct tape after police say a group of suspects performed a daring home invasion.
According to police, two vehicles were stolen from a homeowner and his friend at gunpoint from the home's garage in northeast Colorado Springs just after midnight on Friday. Police said the carjackers later used the stolen cars during a failed gun store robbery.
"They are considered incredibly dangerous and they are armed," a police spokesperson said.
Police arrested two men believed to be involved in the crime but are still searching for two others.
According to police, officers were fired at by the suspects during a chase when one of the vehicles was spotted by police.
"These folks were calculated and they were very directed in their contact," the police spokesperson said.
Nobody was injured.
