Colorado Forest State Park: A Winter Destination

WALDEN, Colo. - Winter recreation at Colorado State Forest State Park is wide open for those who brave the temperatures.

"It's very multi-faceted," park manager Kent Minor said. "We have approximately 70 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. We have another probably 30 miles of snowmobile trails for more advanced riders that are not groomed. There are some really nice basins and open play areas."

"For cross country skiers and snowshoers we have a 6 1/2 mile trail that leaves right here from the visitor's center that we groom."
