Colorado Company Hopes To Cash In On Drone Delivery

DENVER (CBS4) – A Colorado company hopes to create new jobs and cash in on what some are now considering a convenient way to deliver packages -- drones.

Chris Miser of Falcon UAV Drones says in the future people will all be looking to the sky for his drones and others like his.

On Sunday night in a 60 Minutes report Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, announced he wants to start using drones to deliver packages. Prototypes are already being created the company.

"People have pitched this idea of using drones for pizza delivery, taco delivery and dry cleaning delivery. Now it has a lot of credibility," Miser told CBS4. "The whole point of drones is we can do things faster, better and cheaper."

Those in support of drone deliveries say packages will likely be handled with more caution than many delivery drivers show.

"The whole point of these things is they do things very precisely," said Miser. "These things have a little mechanism to drop off the package."
