Closing Arguments Expected In Aurora Theater Shooting Civil Trial
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4)- Closing arguments are expected in the Aurora theater shooting civil trial on whether the company that owns the theater should have done more to prevent the 2012 shooting which left 12 dead and dozens more injured.
Attorneys could make their final statements to jurors on Wednesday. Twenty-eight survivors and families of those killed sued Cinemark arguing that security was lacking that night.
Jurors are being asked to determine whether Cinemark should have prepared for the possibility of violence during a crowded midnight movie premiere in July 2012.

Gunman James Holmes is serving out a life sentence for the attack.
Cinemark attorneys say nothing could have stopped the heavily armed Holmes. They say mass shootings are still too rare to have been predicted.
