City Council Hearing Proposal To Increase Some Fees At Denver Rec Centers
DENVER (CBS4)- The Denver City Council will discuss a proposal to increase some fees at recreation centers in the city at Monday's meeting. Some fees will also be lowered as part of the proposal.
The proposal is a tiered fee where annual fees would be lowered at small neighborhood centers. The price would increase at centers which are considered local. That increase would be $15 to $50 a year.
Seven regional centers in the system would increase adult fees hiked from $190 to $360 a year, and a youth pass would go from $35 to $95 a year.
The fee increases are part of the city's budget shortfall.
