Children's Liquid Cold Medicine Recall Expands, Includes Colorado Retailers

DENVER (CBS4) - A warning has been issued for parents to look closely at any children's liquid cold medicine bottles they may have as retailers are recalling products over the risk of a potential overdose.

The concern is they have flawed cups that may mean children get more than the recommended dosage.

The recall involves Children's guaifenesin liquid bottles that are sold by distributors nationwide under a variety of brand names.

Retailers in Colorado recalling the grape and cherry flavored medicine include Dollar General, Kroger and Rite-Aid.
