CDOT Re-Striping I-25 Lanes In The South Metro Area
DENVER (CBS4) - A plan to keep traffic moving south of the Denver metro area will have some lanes of Interstate 25 closed Sunday night.
The Colorado Department of Transportation is re-striping the left hand southbound lane of I-25 from County Line Road to Lincoln Street.
The department is creating what's being called a "direct lane" for through traffic. It will be marked with a double white line.
There is no fee for using the "direct lane."
If the program works, CDOT may implement more of the lanes in other parts of the metro area.
