Campground In Weld County Remains Closed After Evacuation
LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4) - A campground in Weld County remains closed Friday because of flooding concerns.
Campers had to be evacuated from Saint Vrain Park in Weld County Thursday night.
Three campsite loops with 85 campers were evacuated.
A gate keeping water from rising in that portion of the St. Vrain River was compromised, which could have put the campers in danger.
State park staff will evaluate the condition of the gate and when it will be repaired.
