Cameron Peak Fire Containment Line Grows To 56%
LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Crews are making progress in fighting the Cameron Peak Fire burning in Larimer County. Containment reached 56% on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire has burned 134,960 acres since it began two months ago. Crews have secured more of a containment line along the northern perimeter. The Cameron Peak Fire is burning 25 miles east of Walden and 15 miles southwest of Red Feather Lakes.
Firefighters continue to work on protecting buildings on the CSU Mountain Campus.
