Bull Elk Tangled In Fencing Wire Freed By Wildlife Officer And Deputy
LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) -- Colorado Parks and Wildlife rescued two bull elk tangled in fencing wire over the weekend. The two animals in Estes Park got tangled together by the antlers and then they got wrapped around a tree.
A CPW officer and a Larimer County sheriff's deputy tranquilized both elk and managed to remove all of the wire from their antlers.
CPW says the animals are exhausted but OK and are expected to make a full recovery.
