Lightning Strikes Home, Starting Fire And Creating Hole In Roof

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) - Lightning struck a house in Broomfield Friday morning, igniting a fire.

The strike created a hole in the roof at the home, which is located near the intersection of 144th Avenue and Irving Street.

Crews got the fire under control shortly after getting there. Firefighters say the fire actually burned itself out. Everyone inside escaped unharmed.

The same home had a fire a few years ago. That one was not caused by lightning.
