Boy With Cerebral Palsy Gets Freedom Back After Stolen Wheelchair Is Found
PUEBLO, Colo. (CBS4) - A wheelchair stolen from a 7-year-old boy with cerebral palsy in Pueblo has been found.
Logan Lucas is so excited thanks to a viewer who found the stolen wheelchair and flagged down a police officer in Pueblo hoping it would be returned to the boy.
Logan and his mother Jessica stood outside the Pueblo Police Department anxiously waiting to get little Logan's custom wheelchair back after a crook stole it from their car.
"You can't believe that someone would do that, willingly do that, and it just broke our hearts," Jessica said.
Logan has a rare form of cerebral palsy, but that hasn't stopped his love for being outside -- or going for rides in the car -- or just playing around. His wheelchair helped him do all that, and without it he was stuck. But now his excitement is back.
"He knew that it was his chair. He knows it means, what that chair means. He gets to go outside, he gets to go in the car, he gets to play. He knows," Jessica said.

CBS4 first reported on Lucas and his mother last weekend. Jessica had been working with an auto shop and their insurance to get a replacement custom chair.
"He wants to go, he wants to get in his chair, and he wants to go, he's happy," she said.
Police say they do not have any suspects or a description of who stole the chair. Anyone with information is asked to call Pueblo police.
