Elle turned one!

And she didn't hesitate to dig into her birthday cake.

I'm not sure if I shared with all of you, but Elle came a month early last summer.

Jimmy and I visited Beaver Creek to celebrate my birthday last year (which is in June) when my water broke.

Elle decided she wanted to share in the birthday festivities.

She was born at Vail Valley Medical Center– the day before my birthday.

What a glorious birthday gift for me!

So this year, we decided to go back to the scene of the celebration with our family and close friends and celebrate our birthdays together.

We knew it would be an exciting year for us, but we had no idea how blessed our life would be because of Elle.

My wish for this year, for the health and joys we've shared to continue.
