Bin Laden Hunter From Colorado 'Ecstatic' About Death
GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - The Colorado construction worker who flew to Pakistan on a one-man mission to hunt down Osama bin Laden says he's ecstatic to hear about the al-Qaida leader' death.
Gary Faulkner of Greeley said Monday that he was "squealing like a pig" when he heard the news.
Faulkner was found in the forests of Pakistan last year armed with a sword, pistol and night-vision goggles. He told Pakistani officials he wanted to kill bin Laden.
Faulkner says it doesn't matter who killed bin Laden, but somebody had to stand up to him. He said the death reinforces his own faith in his god.
He said with bin Laden dead, America will have to watch for retaliatory strikes from Muslim fundamentalists who will attack out of spite.
