www.fourseasons.com/denver
Since its opening in October 2010, the 9,000-square-foot spa at the Four Seasons Denver has pampered guests with such over-the-top services as its decadent three-hour Signature High Altitude Revitalizing Gemstone Ormus Ritual: salt bath soak, hand and scalp treatment, gemstone-infused massage and anti-aging hand and foot treatment. In fact, many of the services incorporate healing gemstones, the 10 treatment rooms are named for gemstones, and guests can take home a shimmering stone (mined from Colorado quarries) of their choosing. The setting is contemporary, but warm, with some eco-friendly accents, such as sustainable bamboo flooring. The men's and women's changing rooms each have a whirlpool and steam room; day visitors get complimentary valet parking and use of the state-of-the-art fitness center with each 60-minute treatment.
The Spa at the Brown Palace
321 17th Street
Denver, CO 80202
(303) 312-8940
www.brownpalacespa.com
About 750 feet beneath the historic Brown Palace Hotel is an artesian well, and its spa harnesses the healing powers of its natural spring water with hydrotherapy soaks. Relax in a private tub - alone or as a couple - before a massage, or sample any one of a number of different types of facials, wraps or scrubs. Mani, pedis, haircuts, waxing and treatments designed especially for men are also on the menu. The elegant décor in the spa is a nod to its Victorian heritage, but the atmosphere is far from stuffy. Nifty hotel trivia: The current spa is located in the same space that originally housed a spa way back in 1892.

Ritz Carlton Spa Website
In a nod to the Mile High City's designation as a "microbrew capital," the Spa at the Ritz-Carlton Denver offers a clever foot treatment: the "Hops 'n Honey Signature Pedicure," which features a caramel foot mask with a moisturizing honey lotion. While your feet are being rubbed, you sample three different local microbrews (or herbal teas, if you don't want to imbibe). Whimsical seasonal treatments at this 6,800-square-foot spa change seasonally; for example in the fall sample a Pumpkin Polishing Facial or Herbal Spice Manicure & Pedicure. If you're indulging for a full day and need some nourishment, order off the Spa Café menu, featuring light salads, wraps and smoothies.
Mokara Spa at Omni Interlocken Resort
500 Interlocken Blvd
Broomfield, Colorado 80021
(303) 464-3266
Mokara Spa Website
Technically it's in Broomfield, but this swanky, sprawling golf resort made the short list because its Mokara Spa features some impressive treatments like The Ultimate Moisture Wrap, which involves being lubed all over with shea butter balm, and an organic facial that features a buckwheat mask. Teens have their own services, such as a School Stress Massage and spray tanning. Bring a bathing suit for the coed eucalyptus steam room or a soak in the heated outdoor pools and hot tub in a pretty garden setting and open year round.
The Spa at The Inverness

Englewood, Colorado 80112
(303) 397-7808
www.invernesshotel.com/denver-day-spas.php
If a business trip brings you to the Inverness Hotel and Convention Center, you might just want to carve out some time for a hot-stone massage, gentleman's facial or sugar scrub at the on-site spa. Inspired by nature, the décor includes river rock, water features and other natural elements to create a calming sanctuary. In fact, you could bliss out for hours here at the adjacent indoor or outdoor pools and hot tub; or just curl up by the fireplace with a good book, and leave the work files for later.
