Bear Found In Backyard Of Broomfield Home

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Broomfield have cordoned off a neighborhood where a black bear was spotted in a backyard.

Officers are waiting for officials with Colorado Parks and Wildlife to determine a course of action.

The bear wandered into the backyard of a home near 136th and Sheridan Sunday afternoon.

The bear didn't seem to be in a big hurry to leave.

Christopher Darling captured a few pictures of the bear while it wandered around his backyard.

The bear led officials on a chase and seemed to be good at hiding.

Authorities believe the bear is young and hope to return it to the wild or that it will wander back into the wilderness by itself.
