Barn Catches Fire, Horses Escape Injury

KERSEY, Colo. (CBS4)- Firefighters rushed to put out a barn that caught fire in Weld County Friday morning.

Crews rushed to the fire at 25350 Weld County Road 32, about six miles east of Greeley, just after 6 a.m. Friday. When they arrived they found the barn fully engulfed in flames.

Copter4 flew over the barn fire just after 7 a.m. where smoke was billowing through the open space where the roof had been.

The barn was completely destroyed.

Dozens of horses were seen in fenced-in areas surrounding the barn. None of the horses were injured.

What caused the fire is being investigated.
