Aurora Police Search For Driver Who Stole Car From Dealership
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Aurora are looking for a man who swiped a car during a test drive at a car dealership.
It happened at the Land Rover Denver East dealership on Havana. The man asked to sit in the driver's seat to hear the motor of the 2008 BMW. Once the sales person started it up, the man took off.
The dealer said he was caught totally off guard.
"He had a limp, fairly decrepit, I guess you could say older gentleman," said Land Rover Denver East salesperson Bill McConnell. "I would never have suspected someone that looked like that to be a person who would steal a vehicle."
A similar crime happened in Berthoud last month. Investigators aren't sure if the crimes are related.
