Algae Blooms In Arvada Reservoir, Affects Water Taste
ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - Colorado's record heat this summer is causing the drinking water for some people to taste and smell bad.
The water temperature in Arvada's reservoir has caused algae to bloom.
City officials say that as that algae dies off it gives the water an unpleasant taste.
Arvada says the changes in the water are not harmful, and that it will most likely end when temperatures cool off.
