Adams County Assessor Pleads Guilty In Gifts Case
BRIGHTON, Colo. (AP) - Adams County Assessor Gil Reyes has pleaded guilty and paid a $300 fine for not reporting gifts.
Reyes was charged after he accepted Colorado Rockies tickets from the vice president of a warehouse company that received huge property-tax breaks.
The charge carried a potential fine of $50 to $1,000 but no jail time.
According to the Denver Post, the state Property Taxation Division will review the allegations and could order a reappraisal of properties.
