2nd Fire Burning In Jefferson County Extinguished
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A second fire is burning in Jefferson County on Friday afternoon. Copter4 flew over the fire. White smoke was billowing from what looked like a forested area.
It is burning southwest of Evergreen, about 10 miles south of the larger one. The fire was extinguished soon after it was spotted.
There is no information on whether structures are threatened or how big the fire is.
A third fire burning in Jefferson County was spotted by Copter4 at about 5:10 p.m. near Doubleheader Ranch and Highway 285. The closest address is 24000 Snow Valley Road, near Aspen Park. It's burning in a remote area that is far from any homes. No evacuations have been ordered for this fire.
