2 Accused in York Street Murders Formally Charged
DENVER (CBS4) - Two men accused in connection with shootings that killed two people on York Street have been formally charged.
Marquise Lovelle Davis, 23, and Denzel Richardson, 20, are each charged with four counts of first-degree murder, four counts of attempted murder, two counts of first-degree assault, one count of second-degree assault, and one count of conspiracy to commit murder.
Police said on May 25 Davis and Richardson allegedly went to the area of Bruce Randolph Avenue and York Street and opened fire into a group of people standing on the sidewalk on broad daylight.
Deon T. Rudd, 30, of Aurora, and Justin O'Donnell, 21, of Denver were killed and two others were injured.
Detectives identified Davis and Richardson as suspects. They were arrested a few days later. They are scheduled to appear court on Thursday to be formally advised of the charges.
