1 Person Dead After Jeep Rolls Over On I-25
THORNTON (CBS4) – One person is dead after a Jeep collided with a barrier and rolled over.
It happened just after 5 a.m. Sunday in the northbound lanes of Interstate – 25 between E-470 and Highway 7.
State troopers say the Jeep Wrangler collided with the concrete barrier and rolled onto its side.
A 19-year-old passenger in the Jeep, Marysol Tarango, was thrown from the vehicle.
Two vehicles then struck her and she died on the scene.
Troopers say she wasn't wearing her seat belt.
The driver, 19-year-old Madeline Perez of Greeley, was wearing her seat belt and sustained minor injuries.
Alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash.
