The Ocean Cleanup receives $15M grant to remove more plastic the ocean waters
Nearly two trillion plastic pieces, about 250 pieces of debris for every human in the world, are estimated to be floating in a single patch of the ocean. The grant will help remove 15 million pounds of plastic from the ocean before it breaks down and turns into microplastics.
