The birthplace of house music is now one step closer to becoming a Chicago landmark. In the heart of the West Loop, the Warehouse used to be a nightclub and a safe haven for Black and Brown LGBTQ+ Chicagoans. That building had no protection against demolition until one nonprofit stepped in.
