Not a myth: George Washington loved cherries, and bottles of the fruit were found on his property
Most know the legend about a young George Washington chopping down a cherry tree. While that story is a myth, there's real-life evidence that Washington loved cherries. At least 35 bottles were unearthed at Mount Vernon.
