Hundreds of barred owls to be killed to prevent extinction of spotted owls

Barred owls are larger, more aggressive and eat a wider variety of food. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service plan to kill hundreds of thousands of barred owls in an effort to keep spotted owls from extinction.
