The most recent fatal shooting happened Sunday morning on the Near West Side. Shawn Holloway, 21, was shot in the side and back about 11 a.m. in the 2100 block of West Warren Boulevard, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
About 6:50 p.m. Saturday, officers responding to a call of a shots fired in the 9600 block of South Green Street found 18-year-old Bernard Pippen lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the neck, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Marcus Dee, 31, fatally shot himself after shooting 22-year-old Nadia Ezaldein in a domestic-related incident at the Nordstrom store at 55 E. Grand on Friday night, authorities said. Ezaldein, a seasonal employee at the store, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on Saturday afternoon.
