Illinois State Police said just before 4:30 a.m., troopers responded to I-294 southbound at milepost 25 for a two-vehicle crash.
Photos from the scene showed a white car, a Chevrolet pickup truck, and at least two semi-trailer trucks were among the vehicles involved in the pileup near Cicero Avenue in Alsip.
More than a dozen vehicles were involved.
The driver of the Wienermobile lost control after colliding with a Hyundai sedan on the Tri-State Tollway.
